Titanic

If I was on the Titanic, I would probably forgive the captian for what he had done or not done.  Captian Smith had gotten alot of calls about iceburgs but didn't listen.  I know most people wouldn't forgive him for not listening, but everyone makes mistakes and his just so happened to kill thousands. As long as my loved ones were on a life boat, safe and sound, then I would would forgive the poor man. I know that losing your own life for the stupidity of others isn't exactly how I want to go, but at the same time we all have to die sometime, so we might as well die forgiving someone. I would also get to go to a better place. Personally I don't understand why people take things to their graves. There is really no point because if the person sorry for what they have don then that should be enough. It's not like they can rewind time and make it better. In conclusion, Smith might have been a cocky person but he still didn't mean to kill thousands and should be forgiven for his horrible mistake.

To pity or not to pity.............

Should Simon show pity towards Karl or should he walk away and never think anymore of it?  Well I believe he should show pity towards Karl.  It takes a lot of guts to own up to something you did, that was wrong.  Karl even tried to make him stay by grabbing his hand more than once.  At one point the dying Nazi soldier had said,"I cannot die..... without coming clean".  That statement clearly shows that he was sorry for what he had done and all he wanted was forgiveness.  Even if he had killed: mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, uncles and aunts, grandmas and grandpas.  Karl wasn't just concerned about his own well-being, he actually was more worried about the Jew he was talking with (Simon).  Karl knew that it wasn't easy to hear about your own kind dying in such a brutal manor, but he just wanted someone to understand that he was truly sorry.  After he got done telling his story he proceeded to say," I know that what I have told you is terrible. In the long nights while I have been waiting for death, time and time again I have longed to talk about it to a Jew and beg forgiveness from him.  Only I didn't know whether there were an Jews left....".  So you see, Karl is a good guy, but he was working for the bad guy. If Simon had taken a second to calm down and listen, then he would have been able to show much more pity toward the Nazi soldier, Simon.

Forgiveness. Yes or No?

Should anyone forgive a mother that drowns her own children?  If you ask me, I would straight up tell you NO.  On the news a year or two ago a woman had drowned her kids and sorry, but if you brought them into this world, why the crap would you want to take them out.  If I was a stressed mother, I would try to pray, so god could try and help me. By putting your children to rest won't solve anything.  It will just make things worse.  I will never forgive a mother that killed her own children.

It means somthing to me

One sunny summer afternoon my dad took me to a very historic place in my home town, Batesville, Arkansas.  This historic place is known as the Melba theatre, which is the oldest running theatre in Batesville.  Today the theatre is probably not as hopping as it was fifty years ago.
If you were to walk down Main Street at night, some fifty years ago, a breathtaking display of lights would fill the sky and light the sky as if the sun was still out. All of these lights would shine as bright as the sun on a clear sunny day.  You’ve heard of the light at the end of the tunnel, well the Melba would be the light at the end of Main Street.  The Melba sign would be a great thing to see if it was ever shining bright again on a moonlit night.  Your eyes would dance as the neon lights glistened with many different colors, back in the day.
When walking into the theatre, immediately the smell of melted butter running over freshly salted popcorn filled the air around you.  This aroma usually made a person’s mouth water down their lips like water going down a slide, because of this problem there was janitors that walked behind you to keep the Melba spotless.  The freshly popped popcorn was better then seeing Elvis Prestley sing Hound Dog live.  Once you put the popcorn in your mouth the smooth taste of liquid, salty butter ran down your throat sending a warm tingling feeling to your brain which created a party of flavor that absorbs into the taste buds on your tonge like a sponge would absorb liquid.
As you walk through the door and down the aisle everything and everybody was in silence.  The only sound was a faint whisper amongst friends.  While walking down you couldn’t see very clearly, so you would have to feel the soft cushion on the sturdy chairs. Once you sat down it was like you had just sat on a cloud and in your mind you were thinking nothing could stop you from staying in this chair the entire time you were in the Melba theatre.  Until the beautiful red curtain split open, revealing a magnificent movie that drew you away from the real world for many hours.
The Melba theatre is a landmark that every traveler, that comes to Batesville, should visit.  It might not be glamorous now, but back a couple years ago the Melba was the place to go to get away from the real world.  This place is where I saw my first movie and I will never forget how much I loved that experience. This theatre will always hold a special place in my heart.

Advertisement Analysis

Have you ever wanted to play with your dog, but couldn't stand the smell of their breath, well not anymore with the new Denta-Stix treats. The Denta-Stix ad made me laugh and think about purchasing these treats for my dogs. This ad also shows how bad dogs breath can smell and how many people do not appreciate dogs breathing their horrific breath in them. Denta-Stix are "against bad breath" and if it means anything I am against it too.

The whole purpose of this ad is to let people realize that dogs with bad breath is a serious problem in most house holds. I believe that the dead bird laying in his cage represents the look on a guest's, or owners, face when they get a whiff of their dog's breath or a friend's dog's breath. The Denta-Stix's creators are trying to infer that your dog has bad breath, but if you use their product then you can stop the terrible breath your dog exhales. Exhaling in front of a family friend is not a great idea if you where a dog or if you could control the dog, but since I do not know anyone that can control a dog's breathing the best thing to do is probably buy the Denta-Stix so your dog's breath can smell excellently terrific, or at least not as bad.

When I took one glance at this ad I couldn't help but to laugh. The dog crossing his eyes would ironically draw your eyes to the main point of the ad, which is how bad the dog's breath smelled. While the dog was inhaling and exhaling he unknowingly killed the little bitty tweaty bird and probably made his owners realize he/she had some stanky breath. Stinking up a house isn't the best way to stay inside the house, advice for a dog. The thing about this ad is it didn't have many words so you had to decipher what all it was trying to show the audience. Of course, the dog's open mouth meant he was breathing and the bird dead meant the breath was probably pretty bad. I could bet money that some dog owners went and bought this product within a day or two of seeing this ad.

The author was really trying hard to illustrate how intense the dog's bad breath was in this time and place. He/she went the extra mile and placed a dead bird infront of the dog, when he could have just put words saying how bad it was, but no he/she wanted the audience to get a kick out of it while they learn about the Denta-Stix treats that can and will make your dog's breath smell better. If your dog has bad breath I would go look at this ad and see if this is what would help your dog be a little better.

I am poem

I am tall and slow
I wonder why football is so long
I hear the field chanting
I see noises staring
I want to have success
I am tall and slow

I pretend to be fast
I feel sleepy in my vioce
I touch the sky
I worry I might stop
I cried when I was born
I am tall and slow

I understand life is short
I say god is great
I dream about a wonderful thing
I try to play sports
I hope to be rich
I am tall and slow
